Howdybots Testimonial

“Where would a rookie team be without a mentoring team? The rookie year in FRC is very difficult on nearly every front. As hard as our first year was, it would have been impossible to navigate without the support and guidance we received from one stan-out veteran team

Without hesitation, FRC 2468 Team Appreciate took us, FRC 6377 Hody Bots, under their wing, and helped us prepare for our first season in 2017. Our success — three earned trips to World Championships, Rookie All-Star, a Regional win, a District win, two Imagery awards, and two Creativity awards — would not be possible without the strong guidance we received. 2468 is a cornerstone in our strong foundation. Their support allowed us not only to survive, but to thrive through this our third year, and they continue to be a close friend and ally in our mission to provide STEM to students without access.

What makes 2468 stand-out has been the unwavering throughline of their guidance. We are able to stand on our own six wheels because of their rich mentorship during our first year and because of their continued support in our decreasing moments of need as we grow stronger. Their support has not been just a token checkbox with an eye to winning an award, but a solid and continuing thread of genuine gracious professionalism and generosity.

With much gratitude and appreciation,

Evan Marchman (Lead Mentor of FRC 6377 Howdy Bots)”
