About Team Appreciate

FRC 2468 Team Appreciate of Westlake High School drives a deep passion for STEM by inspiring and nurturing future leaders through mentorship, advocacy, service, and a commitment to lifelong learning. Founded in 2008, the team opened its dedicated robotics facility in 2015, giving students a hands-on space to design, build, and test robots. Over 15 years, with more than 36,000 hours of outreach and a positive impact on 1.4 million lives, FRC 2468 has earned over 95 awards and competed at the FIRST World Championship 14 times. The team continues to embrace the vision of FIRST: “To transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.” – Dean Kamen

FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition and Science and Technology) series of robotics competitions inspires young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
